We developed a novel sacroiliac (SI) joint transfixation fusion technique based on the LESS exposure spine surgery philosophy, guided by REP principles—restoring function, early treatment, and preserving anatomy and motion.

 

The Sacrix procedure is performed outpatient in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and is 100% fluoroscopic percutaneous through an incision typically less than 1 inch. Using a posterolateral-medial-oblique (PLMO) trajectory, it avoids gluteal muscles and critical vascular structures to stabilize the SI joint with minimal tissue disruption
